Design & communications

Malcolm is creative director at 53K communications design partnership. He made his mark as founder of Assorted Images design company, handling international promotional campaigns for musicians such as Duran Duran and Simple Minds throughout the 80s. His early collaborations with Peter Gabriel, and with interactive media pioneers Cogapp at the beginning of the 90s, fuelled an enduring passion for interactive design, which he continued to explore with blue chip clients such as Barclays and Hewlett Packard, and cultural institutions from the Science Museum London to the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Malcolm is a Royal Designer for Industry, and was nominated for the Prince Philip Designers Prize in 1998. He is a member of the Skillset Interactive Media Skills Council, and the Misha Black Awards Committee. He is a Fellow of the ISTD, and was creative director of i-Design, the annual conference of interaction design held at the London Design Festival from 2007 to 2009.
