Growing and Cooking ‘Initiate and Develop’ residential CPD course with the NUT

Growing and Cooking CPD course is a two-day residential CPD workshop, developed specifically for the NUT, which looks at how the practical skills of growing and cooking can support learning, specifically in primary maths and science. Day 3 is designed to support and embed this learning and will take place on Thursday 22 June.

Objectives:
At the end of the course, you will:

  • Feel equipped with the skills to use gardening and cooking equipment safely

  • Understand how horticulture and cooking may enhance the curriculum

  • Learn how to create a productive school kitchen garden

  • Feel confident in planning engaging lessons which enable independent learning and the acquisition of fundamental life skills and knowledge

    At a follow on Embed’ session, we will look at how you have ‘Developed’ practise in your schools’ setting, and learn how to secure future success.
